Re_terrain, a series of large format paintings, aims to examine the inter-relationship(s) of body and space through the specific function of intervening in the canvas (space) with (bodily) strokes and actions. As a causal effect of the intervention, the interplay(s) of lines and strokes, both “specific and obscured”, “flat and layered” are ubiquitous in the painting. The dichotomy is further exemplified through the process of experiencing the physical work.
